Implement The City of Cape Town’s Water & Sanitation Branch (Informal Settlements and Basic Services division) nationally mandated Covid-19 Emergency Response Programme. This was initially a 12 month project to ensure that residents of Cape Towns informal settlements that have little or no access to basic services during the Covid-19 lockdown period continued to receive water supply and or new toilet facilities. The programme also included the increased frequency of servicing and cleaning of existing facilities

Our Role: 

  • Planning and monitoring the implementation of each of the actions identified in each specific Priority Area
  • Revising and updating the Activities/Tasks contained in the respective Action Plans – as implementation continues to accommodate changing environments, imperatives, knowledge etc.
  • Reporting to Programme Lead on a weekly basis, in an agreed-upon format the progress in the implementation of each Priority Area.
  • Monitoring and updating Project Risk Register.
  • Performing site-based project assessments and analysis (programme review of As Is, with diagnostics).
  • Detailed analysis of the full programme.
  • Financial analysis.
  • Recommendations and opportunity analysis (As Is versus To be, sunk resources, desired outcomes, next steps and advice).
  • Review of Contracts in place and advice on future possible contracts.
  • Preparing Project related documentation such as a project charter, scope statements, project plans, project schedules, project budgets, project quality management plans, project stakeholder plans and registers, project human resource plans, project communication plans, project risk registers and risk management plans, project procurement plans.
  • Determining the project work breakdown structure (WBS) and detailed project plan, including roles and responsibilities and responsible persons.
  • Project Integration Management and all related deliverables (project charters, project initiation documents, project plans, project closeout reports, etc.).
  • Project Scope Management and all relevant deliverables (WBS, scope statement, WBS dictionary, etc.)
  • Project Time Management and all related deliverables (project schedules, activity lists, network diagrams, critical paths etc.)
